Advantage of using gcj is that it comes default
nowadays with most linux distributions

I found these guys very responsive:
rhug-rhats at sources.redhat.com
What they showed me is that a default install of
gcc3.3 on RH7.2 isn't gonna cut it. It does not
overwrite /usr/bin/gcj or libgcj.so
You don't want to see this date!
$ ls -l /usr/lib/libgcj.so.2.0.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root
8405787 Sep 6 2001 /usr/lib/libgcj.so.2.0.0
green at redhat.com is an antlr user, and he might
upload an RH9 executable or help you make an rpm.
I'll cross post.
