[antlr-interest] Is there a good tutorial on predicates, imaginary nodes & AST.

I'm a newbei, but it seems we need a good tutorial on;
  -predicates (Semantic and Syntactic),
  -user Tokens,
  -imaginary nodes (not 100% clear on what this really means),
  -and their use in conjunction with ASTs.

Is there one. Or does one has to study long and hard Monty's gcc 
conversion tool to have some idea?

I beleive gurus on antlr, can put one together rather easily and 
quickly.
