Well, open source is no guarantee, either.  You still need the statement
from the author.  But that's neither here nor there.  Is the list of
contributors large?  (I don't know -- I'm new to ANTLR.)  If it isn't it
should be fairly easy to get a statement from everyone placing their
contributions in the public domain.  If such a list doesn't already
exist, it might be useful to make checkin of code contingent on a
statement to that effect.
