Raise the matter on news:gmane.discuss if it persists.  There was such
a problem reported on 2004-10-19 but it should have been fixed.

That gets my vote.  You should find that Lars and the Gmane team are
quite helpful and responsive. I've been using Gmane over nntp for a
couple of years now.
