[antlr-interest] problem-tree parse with nodes

hi all!
I want to know whether I can skip the methods 
public void xmlSerializeRootOpen(Writer out) throws IOException {}
public void xmlSerializeRootClose(Writer out) throws IOException {}
 
in the AST classes for parsing with tree node methods
somebody please guide me with this.
