[antlr-interest] philosophy about translation

Hi All,
All of you who are arguing for the advantages of C++ over Java should
really be thrilled about Microsoft's approach, I would think. Managed
C++ gives all the low level access you want when you decide you need it,
yet interfaces relatively seamlessly with C#.
IMO, there is no one best language for everything. So having
intelligently designed interop layers between languages is really a
handy thing for those corner cases.
In the end, though, I think you'll find that the vast majority of code
can be productively and efficiently written in C#. There are application
areas where C++ is king (I work in embedded systems and C++ is still
king there), but these areas are really niche programming areas these
days.

P.S. Isn't this whole thread a little off topic?
