Hi Jean,

Further to the second mail this evening, further checking has shown that
the Java exceptions result from using debugger settings of DOS line
endings to read input from your input dialogue rather than the Linux
format required. The exceptions are therefore unlikely to be connected
to the window problems.

It also follows that it is getting too late for me to think straight
tonight,
