To attempt to rephrase Mr. Lefevre's request:

It's not about the grammar construction window, with all thesyntax
highlighting etc. In there, it's always better to use '\t' instead. 

Instead, I believe he means the interpreter/debug input text boxes, when
entering sample data to be parsed.

In them, it is possible to accidentally enter or copy/paste sample data
with erroneous whitespace that is difficult to see and may cause
misleading results.

This is especially true for trailing whitespace or whitespace that
occurs near where word-wrap kicks in.
