[antlr-interest] % in target code

That seems odd--I would think that \\\% should work (escape the \, escape the %).  The two errors should be from the processing of the combined grammar (exposed %) and of the lexer grammar.

Sorry, typo in my earlier message: it is % that gives the double error 
message, \% gives the single version.

\\% works the same as %. In fact one can generalize: an even number of \ 
(including 0) before the % generates two errors, an odd number one error.
