[antlr-interest] Cpp grammar file does not compile

I am trying to compile the Cpp.g file provided in the CPP grammar distribution but ANTLR generates invalid token errors on the sequence ^^.
I believe this is a relic from an earlier version of ANTLR. 
Any thoughts?
