ANTLR isn't an executable JAR - it includes lots of libraries, the tool, 
some other bits and bobs. If you download ANTLRworks, it'll just work, 
*provided* you have an up-to-date JRE (preferably JDK) installed.

If this is a course requirement, shouldn't there be support for this 
from your department?
