Hi Mike,

 http://www.antlr.org/download

(and would rather hate to be limited by an older version of ANTLR. Already
backed off to Helios from Indigo just to get it installed.)

If you use virtual machines like VirtualBox http://www.virtualbox.org/ ,
these will allow you build a new system in which you could run a different
version of the software without forcing you to give up your current version.
If you are interested I could send you a preliminary copy of my instructions
for building such, but it based on Debian Linux so as to be freely
available.

If you are just learning ANTLR then spending some time with the interpreter
is good but for any thing more than learning I don't use it. Sounds like you
just need a nudge to move off of the interpreter and start using the
debugger.

Best wishes,

Eric
