[antlr-interest] Newbie Question.

Hi,
    I am new to ANTLR. This is my understanding of compiler compilers.
They aid in generating code that parses (character) input based on
grammar rules. What is done with the parsed information is handled by
(embedded) action code snippets.
    Am I correct? If so, ANTLR is no different. Correct?
    If I am worng, could someone correct me?
