[antlr-interest] continuation character

hi,
 i remember having seen a mail or faq entry on this , but could not
find it again:( ;
how to handle a continuation character like \ENTER or 'ENTER?
also do the line numbers reflext the actual numbers? or is the
continued part considered as belonging to the previous line?
