ISTM that what you'd like is to enhance the ANTLR language so that we
could use $setTokenType(SKIP) to do the right thing whatever the
target language.  There are probably lots of action items that would
benefit from this approach.  Even though there are few people
deploying on multiple languages it would be useful if example grammars
and ANTLR snippets were as language neutral as possible.
