Do you have the actual jar on the classpath, or the directory containing the
jar?

The easiest way to get it working is

  java -cp lib/antlr.jar foo.g

or whereever you have put antlr.

Hope this helps!

I have win xp on my system and have antlr-2.7.2 and 2.7.5 plus some of their
binaries. i've set d classpath and have java running smoothly on my system.

On typing java antlr.Tool file.g at the command prompt, it displays

   java.lang.noclassdeffound

Please, help with installing antlr.
