Excuse me for asking, but what excatly is "The memoization mechanism" ?
I am not comfortable with these terms.

Hi Geir,

The memoization mechanism is surprisingly trivial.  I'm just  
finishing it up for v3 and will send a quick note to the list about  
how to implement for v2.  I am unable to touch v2's analysis and  
codegen engine due to brittleness and lack of unit tests...
