[antlr-interest] ANTLR and unicode supplementary char support

Hi,

I'm new to ANTLR and was wondering if version 2.7.x supports
Unicode supplementary character support.  For example, would I be able
to specify '\u26FEE' as a literal and in the range (..) constraint? 
I'm assuming that the ANTLR source code would need to be compiled with
JDK 1.5 for that, am I right?
