Well, clearly you've got an unexpected backslash character.  So 
we'd probably need to see the grammar you're trying to compile in 
order to help.

One other possibility, if it's really only failing on one 
computer: maybe the ANSI codepage (aka the "Language for 
Non-Unicode Programs" in the Languages control panel) is 
different, and confusing it?
