[antlr-interest] ANTLR not reporting error for malformed program

How do I express EOF in ANTLR? When I add "EOF" to the production I can't
pass grammar check anymore:
program :
statement_list EOF -> statement_list PROGRAM
|
expression EOF -> expression PROGRAM
