I'm not sure, that never happened. I'm not the layperson so just
describing the process I know of, but I presume we would act as you
describe: good & simple.

You can have a look at the exact wordings at cla.jboss.org . Note that
the text varies depending on the project to accommodate for different
OSS licenses.
