AW: [stringtemplate-interest] Problems with List and Hashes revisited

I just thought of a possible solution that I dismissed
somewhere during my debugging.
I have no time to test now if it STILL has ugly side-effects 
- but I will tomorrow.
 
The solution would be to put ALL Values (whether single or not)
into a List. So basically all values would be multi-values.
 
It seems a rather large overhead (putting even simple strings into
arraylists)?
Is this the price I have to pay for the flexibility?
