[stringtemplate-interest] Recursion in anonymous templates. Is it possible with Stringtemplate?

Is it possible to use StringTemplate recursion with anonymous templates in
a similar way to how it is achieved in the Hierarchical Menu example in
Section 9.3 of http://www.cs.usfca.edu/~parrt/papers/mvc.templates.pdf?
