Per Harald Myrvang Mon Mar 30, 2009 13:49
Obol is part of a project to investigate properties of security protocols, what they are, how they behave, how they interact, how to deal with them. The Obol language grew out of a desire to escape the distractions of low-level implementation efforts, and the need to experiment and express security protocols as independent programs, closer to the level on which security protocols are analysed.

CAL can use any Java class, method, field or constructor. Open Quark's Java APIs allow clients to programmatically create and call CAL functions. This enables logic best expressed in CAL, such as domain specific languages and data transformations, to be combined with regular object-oriented Java application logic. Open Quark includes a visual programming tool called the Gem Cutter, and a CAL Eclipse Plug-in.

Base SAS(R) to Java translator
Drew Eginton Mon Nov 13, 2006 19:00
Carolina: Base SAS to Java translator converts SAS source code to Java source code by using Antlr 2.7 grammars for parsing and Stringtemplates 2.3 for the source code generation. Our translator illustrates the power of ANTLR parsing approach for the legacy languages. SAS language can not be described by context free grammar and does not use reserved keyword. Additional complications included very advanced macro language and embedded constructions from SQL.

Salesforce's Apex language
Salesforce.com Mon Oct 9, 2006 12:50
The Apex language is a procedural extension to the AppExchange API that allows flow control and transaction control to be executed on the server in conjunction with these basic database API calls, both SOQL and DML.Apex scripts can include anonymous blocks to be executed on-the-fly as well as stored packages and triggers. They are parsed into an abstract syntax tree (ANTLR, ANother Tool for Language Recognition, is the basis of the parser) and the resulting compiled form is then executed at runtime like any other procedural logic on the AppExchange server.

grisha@alum.mit.edu Mon Jun 19, 2006 19:45
This is not a great showcase (after all, we already use the grammar the good folks at Clover provide, and not many people may find it useful), but still... We use ANTLR to post-process an output of ASP-to-JSP converter and use static semantic analysis to infer "real" type from objects that are converted into "variants".

Dirk Draheim, Winfried Neun, Dima Suliman Thu Feb 5, 2004 05:44
The goal of the project is the classification of differential equations given in MathML resp. OpenMath. An abstract pseudo syntax will be defined as a mediator between equations and classifications. On this basis, tools will be provided for the classification of "MathML Presentation" and "MathML Content". This way is provided also an operational clarification of the relationship between "MathML Presentation" and "MathML Content", at least for the indicated domain of differential equations - a generalization of the approach is further work. The provided tools will be integrated in an available web indexing framework (Harvest).

WebStringTemplates
Matthew Ford Mon Jan 26, 2004 02:14
WebStringTemplates V1.5; The better Java template engine. Programmers, work in Java/JSP without HTML. System Architects, specify the interface. Web Designers, leave Java/JSP to the Programmers. WebStringTemplates is an easy to use Java template engine that separates web page design from the server coding. It defines a clean data interface between the the servlet/JSP and the web page. This Data Interface Definition file defines what data is available and provides sample data for development purposes. Once this interface is defined as a HTML document, the Web Page Designer and the Programmer can independently do their jobs without interfering with each other. It is the Programmer's responsibility to ensure the data specified is available and correctly formatted, without having to worry about where it will be displayed on the page. It is the Web Page Designer's responsibility to display the data in a pleasing manner, with roll overs, drop down menus etc., but without having to worry about the actual data being displayed. WebStringTemplates is free for commercial use, subject to its licence. WebStringTemplates is an extension of Terence Parr's excellent StringTemplate package. WebStringTemplates makes some small modifications to the syntax, adds the Data Interface Definition file and its parser, the Web Page Designer's interactive viewing tool, comment attributes, data filters, support routines to simplify converting existing JSP pages and servlets and this documentation. WebStringTemplate also uses Terence's Antlr complier generator to parse the Data Interface Definition file.

NumeriX is a mathematical programming language with Interpreter, which is fully designed in java. NumeriX is developed for solving the problems in some areas by writing the program that is meant by the NumeriX mathematical programming language. NumeriX helps in many ways the students, professors and lectures also the research peoples. NumeriX provides about 100 mathematical functions for the calculations. Since NumeriX has built in Interpreter it can compile the source in the fly and show the results. NumeriX has its own GUI for writing programs and the output console window. Both Input and output functions are also provided in NumeriX. NumeriX follows the C-style writing program. It is done in C-style because for the easy learning for the new users. The NumeriX built in functions replace hundreds of C or C++ or Java source codes. The function done in more than 100 lines of code are done in a single statement. NumeriX replaces lots and lots of C, C++ and Java codes by just two or three statements of coding. This saves the time factor and fastness in developing the program.
