[antlr-interest] License last word ;)

Howdy folks,

Very interesting discussion and I appreciate the people who spent the
time to dig into the licenses. My preference is actually "public
domain" (as in no restrictions of any kind), but because people could
sue me for putting out crappy (or good; doesn't matter) software, I
need some indemnity clause. Further, w/o that clause Loring Craymer at
NASA and probably others are not able to contribute.

I also like BSD because it seems to be the "shortest to read" ;) If
you have to explain the rules, then people tend to freak. yes,
somebody could take the software and "steal" it but given it's
complexity and the fact that I'm obviously willing to support it (14
years now), there would be little point.

Oddly enough, even with the "public domain" status of my current
license I still have to sign formal paper-based letters for big
companies saying they can use the stuff for free. Cracks me up.

Anyway, assume BSD license.

Best regards,
Terence
